Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a clan of musicians. Growing up, she listened to traditional music, boleros from the past in addition to classic ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys Tangos, opera and the various forms of dramatic performing. She was taught by her mother to sing. She began an intensive training in vocals by Flavio Belcerra at 16 when Belcerra was an internationally renowned Mexican opera Tenor. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and then to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera groups and chamber choirs. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist with classic Latin American music at private concerts. As a musician and teacher she's committed to many projects in the community because of her love and passion for music. Ana was also part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently an instructor of The Performance Loft. Ana finds it a pleasure to have having the chance to share her passion and enthusiasm for classic Latin American songs with others as she hopes to impart a desire for younger generations, to help keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
