Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He is a major player within music in the Latin mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 won an Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song for the year 2017. He released his debut long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. The album reached the top of the charts at number 8 places on the Top Latin Albums charts. Following that year, he teamed up with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the Top Latin Albums chart. Mala Influencia is which was released in the year 2020, by Noriel and his Dopamina album in the same year. In 2021, he also performed an duet with TINI's streaming smash single Maldita Foto. The singer appeared with him in 2023 for 2000, which included the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo is a musician born in a musical home. His mother and brother also played the guitar. In his interviews, he said his participation in music as compulsory. In his childhood he was taught how to perform on the guitar, piano and the ukulele. The first choice for his career was to become a vet, but his brother Julian convinced him to study how to sing under the help of a Cuban teacher. The end result was that he discovered his own talent for singing and transformed his career path.
